Testimonials
Best Original Instrumental
Nominee - "The Heist" - Pictureka Museum
Mayhem
- 2009 Game Audio Network Guild Awards, audiogang.org
"Excellent soundtrack really sets the mood of the titular zombie apocalypse."
- Zombie Apocalypse Review, IGN
"Menu music features an eerie piano melody that seems as if it were plucked right out of a quality horror film."
- Zombie Apocalypse Review, Cheat Code Central (cheatcc.com)
"The very first thing I noticed when I booted up Zombie Apocalypse was the soundtrack. The music in the game has a very lonely, dark feeling to it, and I felt that it set the mood perfectly...The game's soundtrack also sounded like they came straight from a horror movie."
- Zombie Apocalypse Review, Kombo.com
"...an impressive mix of well-detailed environments, over-the-top gore and eerie audio work."
- Zombie Apocalypse Review, TeamXbox.com
"X-Men: The Official Game's soundtrack is by far the coolest aspect of the game. Whether it's the sound engine or simply Amaze hiring a good soundtrack composer, X-Men's tunes shine through the rest of the game's mediocrity."
- X-Men: The Official Game DS Review, IGN
"The composer has scored the game almost perfectly."
- X-Men: The Official Game DS Review, ztGameDomain.com
"The soundtrack rises to the occasion bringing some heroic scores to the mix making the audio the best part of the game."
- X-Men: The Official Game DS Review, GameChronicles.com
"Now let's move onto the sound which is probably the one decent point of the whole game."
- Spyro: The Eternal Night DS Review, DenofWii.com
"The sound fares better than the graphics with a very nice soundtrack, offering up a crisp, orchestral score that sounds quite impressive on the DS given the space constraints."
- X-Men: The Official Game DS Review, GameZone.com
"The audio is great..."
- The Incredible Hulk DS Review, Amazon.com
"I can honestly say that including Will on our team was the best decision we could have ever made. Not only is he great to work with in all regards, but he has an unmatched ability to take a core vision, flesh it out, and substantially enhance it. His music really solidifies the game. I hope that the future holds many opportunities for us to create with Will on the team again."
- Justin Leingang, Lead Designer, X-Men: The Official Game DS, Amaze Entertainment
Best Sound of E3 2004 - Tabula Rasa
- Warcry.com
"Similarly top-notch is the soundtrack, a good percentage of which was composed by the also-invisible Will Loconto."
- John Romero's Daikatana Review, PC Gamer Magazine
"Sound and music are something really special. All the sound has been packed up into MP3 files so you can listen to the ending sequence if you are too impatient. The music is certainly the best video game music I have heard."
- John Romero's Daikatana Review, Action Trip
"The sound is probably some of the best I've heard in a game."
- American McGee's Alice Review, GameOver
"Will was an absolute pleasure to work with. His music is memorable, it always hits the right mood and I never get tired of hearing his scores. He quickly adapts to any technical limitations and is a true professional. If I have my choice I would choose to use him on all of my projects."
- Scott White, Creative Director, Amaze Entertainment
"It hasn't been since Mario 64 that I have heard such an effectively interactive soundtrack."
- KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child Review, PVC
"The music is, as with the graphics, perfectly complimentary to the mood of the game. I could have done without some of it, as it adds to the fear factor tremendously."
- Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt Review, The Wargamer
"The sound and music effects are again superbly done, and make a great accompaniment to the suspense and atmosphere for the game. The music matches well with the settings, and will quickly race to a fast tempo with increased volume when danger lurks close by"
- Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt Review, GameSurge
"...the sound effects, especially the gunfire, background noise and music, create the brooding atmosphere unique to this game."
- Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt Review, Gamespot AU
"This excellence extends into the overall sound design with the sound effects and soundtrack itself building half the atmosphere alone." "Sound:10/10"
- American McGee's Alice Review, Inside Mac Games
"The in-game sound though, is the main facet which genuinely reflects the ambience from the movies 'Aliens' and 'Predator'. The music adds to the tension and suspense...Excellent sounds from where I'm standing."
- Aliens vs. Predator 2: Primal Hunt Review, Action Trip
"Oh Will Loconto, your music kicks ass."
- KISS Psycho Circus: The Nightmare Child Review, DVD Fever
